The Different Types of Flooring Available for Marquee Hire

If you have decided to hire a marquee for your event the first job is of course to check out the marquees and pick the one best for your occasion. Having chosen the perfect marquee for you the next task is to pick the flooring. There is a wide choice of flooring you can have for your marquee, nearly as much choice as the marquee itself! Here is an overview of some of the floorings you can have:

A Dance Floor – have a portable dance floor in your marquee. You can split the room floor up so one side is of a normal flooring where the table and chairs area will be and the other section can be the dance floor. The dance floor is available in different colours and comes in easy to put together square pieces which fix together. This is great for weddings, parties and themed events as it gives a specific area for the dance area which will encourage more people to get up and dance which creates a good atmosphere and an all round great event.

Outdoor Carpet – an outdoor carpet such as Weaveatex Outdoor Carpet is great for marquee flooring. It is easy to clean, breathable, rot proof, hard wearing so its long lasting, and is available in a range of colours to match your colour scheme and décor. Normal carpet can be used which is genuinely used for indoors but it is a lot harder to clean and is not as durable as outdoor carpet.

Coconut Matting – this type of flooring is very popular for marquee hire. As the name suggests the flooring is made from coconuts and so it is a bit different than a wood flooring. This type of flooring is great as it looks elegant and brings warmth to the room with its great shades of brown and tan.

Hard Floor – this is interlocking plywood that make up the base of the floor and is then usually covered with carpet for a nice touch. This type of flooring would be used if the ground the marquee is being laid on is not in great shape or is the land is wet. Hard floor is the purpose of creating a hard surface to allow you to place another flooring on top.
