If you have decided that you would like your next event to be held in a marquee, whether it is for a wedding, a birthday party, or a family get together, you will have a few other decisions to make such as whether you would like to hire the marquee, buy a new marquee, or buy a second hand marquee. Each option has their own set of benefits and downsides; here is a look at each option.

Marquee Hire – hiring a marquee is a fairly simple option as there are many marquee hire companies geared up to handle all your marquee needs. You can simply inform them of your requirements including the size and nature of the party and they will advise where and which marquee is best suited. They will also point you in the right direction for other companies you will need such as caterers and DJ’s. The downside is that the marquee is only hire and after the event and the pay out you will have to give the marquee back at the end of the day.

Marquee Buy – you do have the option of buying a marquee for your event. This gives the added benefit of actually owning the marquee and so it can be used again and again for future parties and so no more money needs to be paid out which would be the case if you were to hire the marquee. You will get a lot more for your money to hire a marquee than you would buying one, and so if the event is extra special such as a wedding then expect to pay a fair bit for a marquee fit for a wedding.

Marquee Second Hand – buying second hand marquees is another option. The marquees aren’t brand new but if you search around you can pick up a real bargain with the marquee in mint condition. You will pay half the price for a second hand marquee than you would for a brand new one. You may think if you are going to pay out the expense for a marquee then you may as well pay out a little extra for a brand new one, as although the marquee may seem in good health you never know its true history and you don’t want to waste your money.
