The Ultimate Marquee Checklist

These days, there is so much choice when it comes to throwing a party.
There are so many options –

do you want to rent a function room in a hotel or bar?

Or will you throw a celebration from the comfort of your own house?

Or hire a marquee?

Decisions, decisions, decisions. If you are thinking of hiring a marquee for your celebration,

we have put together the ultimate checklist for you to consider

Venue
Great news, you have decided to hire a marquee. But where are you going to put it? Will it fit in your back garden? Do you know someone who owns a field?
Not to worry, if you are struggling for space, at Marston Moor Marquees we have a dedicated space for our marquees which includes amble parking space for guests, and we have even been known to have set-up a campsite nearby for those who don’t want to travel too far at the end of the night.

Size
How many people are you are on your guest list – as this will depend on the size of marquee you require. Our Trapeze marquees can fit together just like a jigsaw giving our customers so much more flexibility when it comes to choosing the size of the tent they need for their occasion.

Layout
Different celebrations require different layouts inside the marquee. For example, at a wedding there usually is a long table where the bridal party sits while a birthday party would require a space for the band or DJ.
Having seen and done almost every kind of occasion, the team at Marston Moor Marquees are experts when it comes to finding the perfect combination for the furniture plan.

Decoration
All of our customers have their own idea of how they want to decorate the marquee – and we encourage our customers to treat the marquee as a blank canvas. They are free to decorate however they see fit (within reason of course – an aerial cirque du soleil act might be pushing it) and we work closely with them to ensure their vision becomes a reality.

Toilets
It’s common when people hear marquee they have thoughts of a gazebo that their friends have thrown up – but we are slightly more professional than that. And the toilet situation isn’t an issue either – we provide luxury facilities complete with music and branded hand wash products to ensure the restroom doesn’t resemble that of a UK festival.
