Party Trends for 2018

Everyone loves a good party – whether it’s fancy dress, black tie or festive style soiree – no two celebrations are the same.
And here at Marston Moor Marquees we have seen so many different types of events it’s always thrilling to see a customer’s idea come to life.
This year, I think we are in for quite a treat with some amazing parties lined up for the coming season.
So before we dive in, here are a few of the trends we will be seeing in 2016.

Black Tie
The more formal the better when it comes to a black tie event. This theme has been making a comeback over the last couple of years and this will be a strong player in 2016. Having a black tie dress code gives guests the opportunity to dress to the nines, and the décor, food and ambience all contribute to a night to remember.

Flower Power
One of the 2016 weddings trends will involve more unusual uses for flowers. Flowers have always played an important role on the big day but this year there will be more flower crowns, flower print bridesmaids dresses and floral arrangements decorating the venue than ever before.

Brazilian bonanza
Incredibly, it’s been almost four years since the London Olympics and this summer will see the Brits head to Rio to compete in the 2016 games. This two-week extravaganza will not doubt be colorful, fun and feisty – everything the Brazilians are known for – and there will be plenty of Rio themed parties taking place across the North East.
